A native of Humble, TX, Ben began his career as a landman with ConocoPhillips Company in 2008. To date, he has worked in a variety of area, functional and supervisory land roles within various ConocoPhillips’ business units across the Lower 48. Ben is currently a Staff Joint Venture Consultant, where he provides multidisciplinary, company-wide guidance on Joint Operating Agreements and other joint interest issues.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in Energy and Earth Resources from the University of Texas. He is an HAPL member and past president. Ben was recognized as HAPL’s Outstanding Landman of the Year in 2019. He holds a CPL certification and serves in a leadership role on the AAPL’s Forms Committee.

Ben currently serves on the board of directors for The Harris School and the SPIRIT Political Action Committee and is a past member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Transportation Committee, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and Coastal Conservation Association. Ben and his wife, Katie, are active members of Houston Second Baptist Church. He is a resident of West Houston, and enjoys spending time with his son, saltwater fishing, bird hunting, and watching college football and the Houston Astros in his spare time.
