Agustin Diz is the Director of E&P Information Management at Repsol, responsible for Repsol’s information and knowledge management strategy and deployment, with the objective of improving and governing dataflows and analytics in E&P as well as improving access to knowledge across the company.
His interest in Blockchain focused on how to apply properties of immutability, transparency, and auditability to some of the complex and long-term issue of entitlements of assets. While many types assets can benefit, he proposed Seismic to prove the concept, given its digital nature, longevity, and contractual complexity.

Prior to his current role he led Repsol’s Geophysical Research and Depth Imaging teams.
He has been with Repsol for over 25 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a PhD in Physics from the University of Florida.
