Geeta Thakorlal is the Executive Group Director of the Information and Digital Delivery Group at Worley, a global provider of project delivery services and asset solutions to the energy, chemical and resources sectors. In this role her responsibilities include:
• Leading the combined Information, Technology, Data and Cyber Security teams to enable the Worley enterprise strategy and transformation program seamlessly and effectively.
• Enabling Data Centric Delivery to materially improve the efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of Worley by leveraging data, information, and digital technologies to improve the customer and employee experience and Worley’s competitive position.
• Enhancing digital fluency and literacy across the organization.
• Elevating cyber security and data protection to reduce overall vulnerability and protect the group’s intellectual capital.
Prior to this role, Geeta held various operational leadership positions across Worley after joining in 2011. In her last role as President of Digital and Energy Transition, she was responsible for the growth and performance of the digital portfolio across the organisation; and advocating and sponsoring the Worley group focus and position on the global energy transition. Her other leadership roles included President of Intecsea, Worley’s global specialist offshore deepwater division and SVP for the global Upstream, Midstream, LNG consulting service line for Advisian, the group’s global advisory and consulting group.
Geeta brings extensive global experience across the energy sector, primarily in upstream oil & gas and midstream sectors. Geeta is a multi-faceted global business and people leader who has built a reputation for her inspirational and humble leadership, leading through influence, building enduring relationships and successful, cross-functional, worldwide teams, with a pragmatic and practical approach to deliver business outcomes.
She has received various awards in Australia and Houston for recognition for female leadership champion of change in the energy and resources sector. She is a member of the Advisory Council of the Andlinger Center for Energy and Environment at Princeton University.
Geeta holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Materials Engineering (University of Auckland, NZ) and is a Fellow with the Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Institute of Engineers Australia and an Affiliate member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors.
