Adam Brown is currently chair of the Legal Technical Committee of Blockchain for Energy and serves as Information Technology and Intellectual Property counsel for Exxon Mobil Corporation. He is experienced in legal transactional support and has expertise in SaaS, in and out-licensing, blockchain, open source software, and emerging technologies used in global operations in the energy industry. His practice often includes supporting and working closely with cyber-security and data privacy-related issues in the U.S. and abroad. In addition to his experience in the intellectual property realm, he is a member of the Pro Bono Committee at ExxonMobil and was the recipient of the 2019 Access to Justice Corporate Counsel Pro Bono award from the state bar of Texas.
He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Missouri; a Juris Doctorate degree from Syracuse University and an LLM in Intellectual Property from Washington University in St. Louis.
